ABOUT

Rob Reinhart is a Georgia native with a passion for all things sports. Introduced to both the personal and professional sports environment from his stepfather, a former Olympic diver and FBS head coach, he quickly acquired a unique love of athletics. This lead to him playing several varsity sports in high school, including football, hockey, basketball, and tennis.

Rob enrolled at Auburn after high school, receiving a Rhodes Scholarship to study particle physics and English literature overseas. After graduating from Auburn with dual Bachelor degrees in journalism and physics, Rob enlisted in the Marines, where he served as wartime correspondent and freelance college bowling journalist for 4 years. After being discharged from the Marines, Rob entered the sports journalism profession full time as a MacArthur Fellow. He launched The Reinhart Report in 2025 as way to catalogue the history of sport and the stories told within.

While on assignment in Las Angeles for the 2018 World Series, he met the love his life, Anna, with whom he as two children. Rob currently resides in New York City with his dog OJ.
