Dubai to Host New Early Season MTE Featuring Duke, Georgetown

A new early season college basketball MTE called the Royal Palm Invitational will be hosted in Dubai starting in 2026. I’m told multiple power conference teams have already locked in their spots, including:

  • Duke

  • Texas

  • Georgetown

  • Florida

  • LSU

  • Arizona

  • Purdue

  • Gonzaga

The event will be sponsored by UAE owned Emirates and Etihad, along with Saudi-backed AI company Humain. Sources tell me that multiple teams have already declined an invitation, including St. John’s.
